They say you could spend your whole life island hopping and still not taste everything the islands cook. So we're bringing the island cuisines to Niagara, one plate at a time.
The plan
I studied finance, and I'm a mortgage broker and real estate agent. When my then-husband and I talked about opening a restaurant, the plan was simple: he'd do the cooking and I'd keep the books.
Stepping up
It was an ideal arrangement until the marriage ended. Now I'm the one cooking, five days a week, with a smile. I know how to cook. I just never liked it.
